It was a pleasure to welcome so many visitors to our Fantastical Forest on Saturday. This was the fourth year that we’ve hung our collection of beautiful hangings, each carefully co-created with children and their communities, in this magnificent Beech Avenue in Wandlebury Country Park.
When we started in 2020 there were just 20 hangings and now there are nearly 100. The day was rich in conversations about creativity and nature and how schools and everyone who is a part of them need support. We loved watching groups wander off, gently taking time to look carefully and talk together about the work, and then wander back much later full of excitement and energy with all that they had seen.
ITV news came along as we were setting up and shared this lovely item on the day. Many thanks to the quick witted CCI friend who managed to film it for us and many thanks too to the many volunteers who helped on the day and of course to Wandelbury Country Park for inviting us.
